How a dub goes down

Three steps to movie stardom

Act 1
🎭

Get cast

Pick a scene from the library. In Solo Show, tonight the part of everyone will be played by you — every character, every line.

Act 2
🎙️

Record your lines

Hear the real delivery, watch the clip roll, and record over the original's waveform line by line. Match it perfectly — or don't. Retakes are free.

Act 3
🍿

Watch the dub

The premiere plays your voice over the real footage with the film's own score underneath. Download your cut or share it straight from the browser.

Why it slaps

The movie stays. The voices go.

🎼

The real score stays under your voice

AI source separation strips the original dialogue but keeps the music and ambience, so your take lands inside the actual scene — not over silence.

📈

Dub over the original waveform

Every line shows the original performance's waveform with yours mirrored beneath it — chase the shape of the delivery, or ignore it for comedy.

💾

Keep your cut

Export the finished dub as a video file, or share it right from the end card. Takes auto-save locally, so a closed tab never loses your work.

🎲

Dub Roulette New

One button, one stranger, one scene. You both vote on what to dub, take a character each, and pass the mic line by line — and it only reaches the gallery if you both say so.

Questions from the cast

What is Dub-Off?

A free browser game where you re-voice famous movie scenes. You hear each original line, record your own take over the muted clip, and watch the whole scene back with your voice swapped in — the film's music stays underneath.

Is there a website to dub over movie scenes?

You're on it. Dub-Off is a website for dubbing over movie scenes and clips: pick a scene, record each line with your own voice, and watch your dub play over the real footage with the original music kept underneath. Some call it re-voicing — we call it your big break.

What do I need to play?

A browser and a microphone — phone or desktop. No account, no install; recordings stay on your machine unless you post your dub to the gallery.

Can I play with friends?

Two ways. Solo Show hands you every character in the scene, and Dub Roulette pairs you live with another player — you both vote on the scene, take a character each, and pass the mic line by line, then decide together whether it goes to the Dub Gallery. A private lobby for one specific group of friends is still in the works.

Can I keep my dub?

Yes — after the screening, download your cut as a video file or share it straight from the browser.

Lights up

The scene is waiting.
So is your terrible accent.
