Terms of service

Last updated: August 28, 2026

Dub-Off is a free fan-made parody playground. Play nice, don't post anything you wouldn't say on stage, and remember the movies aren't ours.

The game

Dub-Off lets you record your own voice over movie scenes and watch the result. It's free, it requires no account, and it's provided as-is — it's a hobby project, and features may change, break, or disappear without notice.

You must be 13 or older to post to the Dub Gallery or submit scenes.

Your content

Recordings stay on your device unless you post them. When you post a dub to the gallery or submit a scene, you keep ownership of your content, and you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and play it publicly on Dub-Off, and to feature it in promotional clips for Dub-Off as described below. You can have it taken down any time (see below).

Featuring your dubs

The best dubs get shown off. If yours is one of them, we may edit it into a short promotional video — our logo, a frame, captions, that sort of thing — and post it on Dub-Off's own social media accounts to bring people to the game. In plain terms, the license above lets us copy, edit, and publish your posted dub off of Dub-Off for that purpose.

Two promises about how we'll do it:

Don't want to be featured? Say so at support@dub-off.com and we won't, or just don't post to the gallery. If you ask us to take a dub down, we'll remove it from Dub-Off and from our own social accounts — but be aware that once something is public, we can't recall copies other people have already saved or reshared.

By posting, you promise your content:

We can remove any post, submission, stage name, or profile at our discretion — the gallery is moderated after the fact, not pre-screened.

Stage names

A stage name is claimed by whoever posts under it first, secured by a secret stored in that browser. Lose the browser data, lose the name — there's no account recovery. Offensive or squatted names may be released or removed.

Scenes & copyright

Dub-Off is a parody and commentary playground. No affiliation with, or endorsement by, any studio is implied. Scene submissions are recipes (a video link plus line timings) — they're reviewed by a human before anything goes live.

Rights holder? If you believe content on Dub-Off infringes your rights, email complaints@dub-off.com with a link to the content and we'll respond promptly.

Fair play

Don't abuse the service: no vote manipulation, scraping, spam, probing for vulnerabilities, or working around rate limits. We can block access for abuse.

No warranty, no liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dub-Off is provided without warranties of any kind, and we're not liable for any damages arising from your use of it — including lost recordings, so download the cuts you love.

Takedowns & contact

Want your own post or name removed? support@dub-off.com. Complaints about content: complaints@dub-off.com. Nice things: compliments@dub-off.com.

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. Continuing to play means you accept the current version.
